Devotion Questions
- Read Acts 13:1-4
- Although some are called specifically for missionary work, what does it say was the church’s part was in this missionary endeavour?
- Who else was involved as the key person who sends Paul and Barnabas in verses 2 and 4?
Although Mission involves – the whole church, led by God, in sending out missionaries, in the power of the Spirit. Some are called to be missionaries but mission itself is the task of the whole church.
It is also good to take note that after the church gathers each week, we all ‘go out’ into the world.
- Examine the passages below and note some ways that all Christians can be involved in mission and making disciples:
- Colossians 4:2-4 ___________________________________________________________________________________________.
- 1 Peter 3:15-16 ____________________________________________________________________________________________.
- How would it look in your life if you think about sharing Jesus as a lifestyle change, rather than as a single event?
Once you have finished the devotion questions this week, spend some time thinking of some people who don’t know Jesus that come to mind, and spend some time in prayer asking God to work in your life and in theirs.
