Devotion Questions
- What do verses 1-4 have to say about our past, present and future?
- Verses 10-14 describe what we should instead ‘put on’ and ‘clothe ourselves’ with. Discuss with one another each of these ‘put on’ statements in verse 10, 12 & 14, and what Paul says about why or how we can do this?
- Three times in three verses Paul uses nouns and verbs that describe gratitude and delighting in thankfulness to God (v15, v16, v 17).
• Does your life and singing have this aspect of thankfulness? What in verse 16 would help you to develop this more in your life and church? - Based on this passage, what is it that you personally need to get rid of? What things do you feel you really need to put on?
