Hi Youth!

How’s everyone doing? We hope you’ve been using the most of your time being at home!

1. Prepare our hearts

As we have one more week before Easter, we are dedicating this week to focus on the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. To prepare your heart for this week’s message, have a listen to this song. Focus especially on these words as they remind us of God’s radical act of loving our whole heart when Jesus died for our sins and defeated death for us.

And that grace
Owns the ground where the grave did
Where all my shame remains
Left for dead in Your wake
You crashed those age-old gates
You left no stone unturned
You stepped out of that grave
And shouldered me all the way

Once I was broken
But You loved my whole heart through
Sin has no hold on me
‘Cause Your grace holds me now

2. Prepare our minds

Before the message, have a think about these questions.

  1. With one word, how would you describe the things that are happening in our world today?
  2. When do you think this Coronavirus Pandemic will end?
  3. Does being a Christian during these times make any difference? If so, how?

3. Message

Can Easter speak into our current Pandemic?

4. Apply

  1. Do you know that Jesus is going to come back and restore this broken world?
  2. What kinds of suffering and pain do you think your friends would like to stop happening?
  3. How can you help your friends with their current suffering?
  4. Is there a chance you could tell them that Jesus will one day restore all brokenness in the world?

5. Pray

Pray that God will increase our passion for Jesus in the coming week, that we would remember his costly work on the cross so we could be forgiven. Pray for those suffering from coronavirus, and for the elderly in our communities to be protected. Pray also that our hearts will increasingly look forward to that day when Jesus will ultimately restore our world. Lastly, pray that the people around you would know this very hope.

Have a blessed Easter everyone! Stay safe. Don’t forget to wash your hands…
